    Making up almost 11% of all plantings in South Africa, Cabernet Sauvignon is the most popular cultivar in the country. The terroir in Stellenbosch offers some of the best conditions for this cultivar in the world and unsurprisingly it is the most planted cultivar in the region. Setting the benchmark for the South African industry and creating renowned wines internationally. On Goede Hoop they are fortunate enough to be a part of this terroir and Cab’s from the farm are consistently of the highest quality. With the use of traditional “kuipe” (open top cement fermenters) they create big, bold, full-bodied wines. It has always been important to remain true to their roots, to produce smaller quantities of high-quality wine that celebrate this unique style of wine making.

    What can you expect?

    This elegant Cabernet is packed with sleek dark fruits and is a natural accompaniment to red meats. Its silky mouthfeel and deftness means it won't overpower lighter dishes. Elegant, smooth and oozing charm this wine is enjoyable now but will develop beautifully over time.
