This Syrah is a Susan Stanleys exclusive from Stellenbosch’s Polkadraai Hills. The grapes were hand-picked from selected parcels within site-specific blocks.
What can you expect?
Look forward to the beautiful aromas of black pepper, cherries, dried herbs, and a hint of violets on the nose. The palate is beautifully structured but elegant, seamless, and full of dimension. This is an incredibly complex, yet fantastically balanced Syrah and a showcase of how well the variety is suited to Saxenburg.
Aging potential?
This wine is best to enjoy upon release, however, it will reward cellaring for 15 or more years.
