Paserene Marathon Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 per Case

The Marathon 2020 is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon/Petit Verdot from our Tulbagh vineyards. The wine shows a gorgeous black-to-purple colour which is a true testimony of the quality and condition of the hand-sorted berries which made it into the cellar.

On the nose aromas of black currants, creme de cassis and balsamic are at the forefront. Secondary to that the wine shows fragrant aromas of dried flowers, black peppercorns and allspice. Very complex. Put this wine in your cellar for at least 5 years before opening. It will last for the next 50 years if cellared correctly.

The Marathon 2020 is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon/Petit Verdot. The grapes were fermented in small upright French oak barrels and carefully punched down not to over-extract the wine. The Marathon was matured in 50% natural form. The wine spent 6 months in the bottle before release.
